Whether it be for travel, business, employment opportunities or just to understand this beautiful language - there are so many reasons why Italian for kids classes would benefit your little one.

Italy is the land of art, fashion, architecture and, really good pizza (just to name a few things). And, aside from being a hugely popular tourist destination, Italian culture has had a huge influence on not just the rest of Europe, but the whole world.

This boot-shaped country has a population of around 60 million Italian-speaking residents. Plus, Italian is considered one of the official languages of Vatican City, Switzerland, and parts of Slovenia and Croatia. Plus, there are also sizeable Italian-speaking communities across the world in places such as the US, Canada, Australia and Argentina due to the mass migration of Italians during the late 1800's and early 1900's.

Why should my child learn a foreign language?

There is plenty of research out there that shows learning a second language is highly beneficial to the problem-solving, memory, concentration and listening abilities of babies and young children.

These cognitive-boosting gains will give them endless transferable skills they can use in many areas of their life as they continue to grow including academically, emotionally and culturally.

Italian is one of the romance languages, like French and Spanish, that originated from Latin – meaning it includes many tones and sounds that English speakers will recognise. It is a language shaped by poets and writers and is one of the top 10 languages learned worldwide.

Babies and kids have sponge-like learning capabilities and are much less worried about making mistakes than teenagers and adults. Getting your child to start learning a second (or even third) language when they are as young as possible will give them a head start and skills that will benefit them for life.

So, what are the benefits for babies and children learning Italian?

The Italian language and culture has an incredibly rich history. Italy is one of the most popular tourist destinations on the planet and knowing the local lingo can only enhance this travel experience.

But aside from the travel benefits, Italian is listed as one of the British Council’s top 10 languages to learn post-Brexit. And with Italy being an important trade partner for the UK, knowing this language will open up doors for business and employment opportunities for your child.

And, given that currently only 1 in 3 Brits can confidently hold a conversation in another language, there is a high demand for foreign language speakers. Your child will have a real advantage in the job market later in life by learning Italian.

So, what's different about BilinguaSing's Italian classes for kids ?

Our Italian classes for kids are a holistic, upbeat experience tailored to the developmental stage of your child.

What makes them different to other Italian for kids classes?

1. OUR CLASSES ARE FULLY BILINGUAL

Research shows that the emotional environment is just as important as the physical one, and your little one's learn best when they feel happy and safe.

That's why here at BilinguaSing, we deliver our classes in English first, then in Italian.

BilinguaSing founder Ellie Baker says it best: ". . . children (and adults) learn best when they are comfortably challenged, rather than thrown in the deep end to either sink or swim."

2. OUR CLASSES ARE MUSICAL

Our classes are presented through our own award-winning bilingual music. Learning language through music increases a child's ability to memorise words and phrases, and it's a whole lot of fun for everyone!

Plus we teach and use British Sign Language during our classes.
